Each image captures a fragment of time. Within it are volumes of information about the history that contributed to the moment. The works are vague in detail - purposefully so. Sharply defined images restrict expression of the atmosphere of a moment. Details hinder the communication of ethereal information. As details fade, the unseen becomes visibl

Thank you all for your kind comments! Sheryl - I'm not sure if you were referring to a Photoshop effect, and thanks for asking for more. These are all as captured in camera.

All images were made using a Lens baby. I have made normal dark room corrections with Light room but Photo shop is a mystery to me. I'll be exhibiting in Sydney at Blender Gallery August 28 to September 16.

Strong Stuff Here

Your work is strong. And you are right in your artist's blurb. Reminds me of the Dorothea Lange quote that I love so much: "The camera is an instrument that teaches people how to see without a camera." (Do you like some of Uta Barth's work?)
