‘WE WANT to do for plants and gardens what the Wildlife Photographer of the Year does for wildlife,’ says Jane Nichols who has co-organised the competition.
It will cost you £10 to enter - with a maximum of 4 photos in one of the categories - the next year’s International Garden Photographer Award - and you have until 31 January 2009 to do so – but the potential prizes are worth it. This year, the main winner’s received £5,000, whilst the remaining four were awarded £3,000. Additionally, shortlisted finalists appear together in the Garden Photographer of the Year book and in a Kew Gardens exhibition (open now until September 2008).
