TICHY HAS BEEN taking pictures since mid-50’s with his homemade cameras made from boxes and cans, some of which are exhibited along 100 photographs taken with his extraordinary tools. These are some of the works that were discovered by his neighbour Roman Buxbaum in 1989 and were since shown at the Seville Biennale (2004).
The works are obsessional, voyeuristic studies of female bodies. They appear peeping tom-like, secretive shots, but they are also tender and dream-like.
