URBAN FUTURE #2 presents a selection of the B/W images taken in the last couple of years in Asia and the Middle East - the areas whose fast urban metamorphosis has fascinated Scholten. His ever-expanding archive of photographs documents the organic and inevitable development to the local traditional city structures.
Scholten’s background in sculpture is evident in the installation style of his exhibition – the visitors are surrounded by large scale prints on the walls which are accompanied by a number of browseable picture books.
Also at the Huis Marseille centre, Creatures from the Collection and Other Themes shows photographs by Charlotte Dumas, Esko Männikkö, Rinko Kawauchi, Roos Theuws and others.
