COCOON is a name of a Frankfurt club and the commission of the same name by the Museum was to work around the theme of techno culture. The current music scene is something that Gursky’s been inspired by since mid-1990’s.

This series of large-scale photographs is relating to the actual club’s interior, designed by a musician and DJ Sven Väth.

‘Cocoon Morphs Tokyo' CD released this week will have one of these on the cover. To create a mini Gursky at home, you can buy all six LP releases and install the covers next to each other to get one continuous picture!
