LACROIX's role was to prepare presentations and exhibitions around this year's theme - 'presence, appearance, disappearance, the body and the envelope'. In his statement written for the showcase, he said: 'Light, even if chiaroscuro, can, when well directed, delve into the labyrinthine, initiatory recesses of the self. What I want to show is, in a sense, this open-heart surgery on a city and on my own rencontres.'
The festival will show works by many French artists like Grégoire Alexandre, Jean-Christian Bourcart and Françoise Huguier, but also by the American Richard Avedon, and British photographers, Tim Walker and Vanessa Winship.
