Aftermath Project grants

The American photographer Sara Terry experienced war first hand.
(c)Natela Grigalashvili (2008 winner), Refugees of Georgian Villages

FOR FIVE YEARS, Terry documented the consequences of the 1992-5 war in Bosnia and Herzegovina. She felt that the media never pay much attention to what happens to people after conflicts are over, so she started The Aftermath Project.

The Aftermath Project will award two grants in 2009 ($25,000 and $15,000) to photographers covering the impact of war.
